We love this 25L REI daypack, which is super comfortable and comes in a wide range of colors, It also has a built-in rain cover. This pack is our go-to for most of our hikes and is the perfect size!

If you have a backpack that lacks a dedicated rain cover, this rain cover option from REI is a great buy! These covers are lightweight, pack down small, and come in a variety of sizes to suit any day or backpacking pack.

REI Co-op Magma 850 Down Hoodie (for women and men)
This Magma 850 Down Hoodie (for women and men) is one of the best puffer jackets I’ve ever owned. It’s very warm, but isn’t bulky. It has an integrated stuff sack and hood, as has been treated with durable water repellant to repel moisture. I’ve been recommending it to everyone who will listen. 10/10.
REI Co-op Flash Stretch Rain Jacket (for women and men)
This lightweight rain jacket (for women and men) is free from PFAS and provides excellent waterproofing for damp hikes and rainy urban adventures. Jacket has a slim fit.
REI Co-op Trailmade Pants (for women and men)
These hiking pants (for women and men) are lightweight, comfortable, quick drying, and won’t break the bank! These are Amiana’s go-to.
REI Co-op Trailmade Pull-On Pants (for women and men)
These pull on pants (for women and men) are Gwyn’s go-to hiking pant. They’re lightweight, comfortable, and quick drying. They also run a bit smaller than the other version of the Trailmade Pant.
REI Co-op Merino 185 Long-Sleeve Base Layer Top (for women and men)
I love merino wool for its natural order repellent properties and for how warm it is. These base layer tops (for women and men) are warm, soft, and wash well! They’re also a great deal!
REI Co-op Lightweight Base Layer Bottoms (for women and men)
These base layer bottoms (for women and men) are hands down the best base layers. I wear them under hiking pants AND jeans pretty much all winter long. I’ve owned a pair for several years (I recently purchased a second pair) and have found them to be durable and to wash well.

This 650 down jacket (for women and men) makes a great mid-weight option, and is available in a range of cute colors (we own mauve and yellow)! It’s perfect for layering or wearing on its own.
